  • tweens (ages 8-12)
  • teens (ages 13-18)
  • tertiary’s (ages 18-120)

  • Remember it’s completely normal to have hair. Actually, we all have it! It’s okay to keep it and it’s okay to want to get rid of it too! It’s up to you (and your Mum and Dad or someone who looks after you). It’s easy to keep it, you can do that all by yourself but if you want to get rid of it, well, that’s where we come in! Waxing is a great and easy way to get long lasting (about 3-6 weeks) hair free results.
  • There’s no rule as to when you should start waxing, every single body is different and grows hair differently. Some people have dark body hair and others light, some long and others take much longer to grow. Everyone is different and that’s why there are no rules and no specific age when you should start waxing, just start when you feel it’s the right time.

  • You’ll probably be a bit nervous… NORMAL!
  • You’ll probably freak out a bit… NORMAL!
  • The treatment room will have a bed in it that you’ll lie on to have your wax and it will have a trolley with wax and creams and sticks and all things needed to wax you but everything is… SAFE AND CLEAN
  • You’ll probably want your Mum or Dad or a friend to come with you… TOTALLY FINE WITH US!
  • Your appointment will probably last somewhere between 10 and 30 minutes but can sometimes go for a bit longer depending on what and how many body parts you’re getting waxed but don’t worry there’s a TV/DVD in each room so you can watch a show while you’re getting waxed or listen to music… AWESOME!
  • It’ll probably feel a bit warm (not hot!) and may sting a bit… BUT ONLY FOR A SECOND!
  • You may want to squeeze your Mum/Dad/Friends hand… MAKE SURE THEY’RE BRAVE!
  • You can ask your waxing therapist as many questions as you like… ??
  • You’ll have to stay still while you’re getting a wax so that the waxing therapist can do the best job possible… OKAY!
  • After your wax you might get some red spots on your body, this is just your skin reacting to the treatment but it’ll go away pretty quickly so no need for alarm, its… NORMAL!
  • When you leave the salon after your wax don’t run around like a crazy person, exercise, go straight in the pool, roll around in the mud or have a hot shower. Wait at least 12 hours if possible… RELAX
  • You’ll get a great hair free result from your wax… YAY!

regular waxing reduces hair growth activity over time whereas regular shaving promotes hair growth over time, meaning you’ll end up with more than you started with. waxed hairs can take anywhere from 3-8 weeks to grow back and shaven hairs will reappear anywhere from 8 hours to 5 days! don’t worry if you have only ever shaved – it’s never too late to start waxing!

  • It’s annoying to have to shave every day or two, it’s already hard enough to get to school on-time!
  • You should never shave your face (girls) ever!!!! You’ll end up looking like your Dad or worse, crazy Uncle Arthur!
  • You can easily cut yourself shaving, eeewwww!
  • Speak to your parents or another adult about shaving or waxing before you begin, it’s always good to get another opinion.
